I'm 6'2" and I found the bed a tadtoo short and the mattress uncomfortable. I purchased a Serta 4" mattress topper for a full queen( if you buy one, purchase the 50 lb weight $189.00 at Amazon) I then took a piece of 1/4 " finished plywood from Lowes and, cut it to 60" wide by 2 ft. I had an old mattress topper so I cut 2 5"wide lengths 60 " long and glued the two together. I then covered the two pieces with some long cloth that my wife had and, secured it with hot glue at the seams. I then put 5 strips of industrial strength velcro at intervals on the bottom where the seams meet and attached the piece to the bottom of the lengthwise 1/4 " plywood. Now when we camp I can stretch out and relax and not sleep on a diagonal. When ready to pack up , bend the topper back and slide the extension forward and the bed will move back into position as usual. A word on foam....I found the Serta topper to be superior to cheaper toppers with little or no smell..we love it. Hope this helps LIEUT

Ok...now for an update on my "Queen bed extenson". I have to tell you all that my wife and I experienced a couple of wonderful nights sleep with the bed extenson fix up.If I can help anybody out there with answers to the extension problem , please let me know

On my wife's side, she also needed an inch or so to be comfortable. I cut a 21 inch square section out of the wall at the foot of the bed. I framed up the opening in thin cherry stained wood, then I added some insulation between the wall and the refrigerator. I gained 1 1/2 inch of foot room and that is what was needed. Easier than bed stretchers.

Hmmmmmm...cut a hole in the wall....I have a 2910 and that "option" doesn't pertain to me. We have a bedroom slideout and at the end of the bed there is nothing but "space. I am glad that you worked out a scenario to your problem but, I did not have that option nor would I cut into the wall of my motorhome. Thanks for the reply though

PS... I picked up 6 inches and that translates to a full queen

I also had heck posting pics on this forum,,, you have to really go step by step to post. Matter of fact if I wanted to post something now I would have to go back to the instructions to do it.. I have done a lot of RV projects,,, Since I usually did a lot of steps and pictures I posted them on a blog and then put link on the forum,,, was easier and also did not take a lot of space on the forum page. this is the blogger I used
