How many brackets are holding up your TV? I've been trying to track down a rubbing noise along the left edge of the TV over the driver and noticed there is a bracket bolted in on the passenger side and a hole on the drivers side that looks to be in about the same spot. Should there be two brackets? Besides not wanting to wreck the rig, I've become fond of John and don't really want to plant a TV in his head.

I forgot - while you guys are out counting TV Brackets, can you check the number of screws holding up your back up monitor? We have two even though the mounting plate has holes for four.

I have four screws on the backup monitor. I can't see the brackets on the TV, but I have 3 screws on each side inside the cabinets. I am sure you should have a bracket on each side; but, being as we have the same year models, I'm surprised you could even see the brackets.

I'm assuming it is a bracket on the bottom of the TV. It looks like a metal plate with a screw-in knob that is at least an inch across. It screws UP into the TV. As for the backup camera, I kinda figured it should have more screws. I'll double check with Kermit to make sure there isn't some reason they were left off then we may give it a go ourselves. It doesn't seem loose or anything but with the number of times I hit my head on it, we probably need the reinforcement.

If you want to go the frugal route...you might consider .....

Oh yes indeed. That is why I moved it here. If you look close, you can see where it used to be on the headliner. One day I'd like to mount a low profile cubby for little things to store and to cover up that hole.

Pax - YANKEES??? For a Marylander? He'd toss my butt right out of the coach WITH the helmet. Otherwise the hard hat idea is not bad. John is liking the truck driving man image. Get him a hard hat and plaid flannel overshirt and... MACHO!

It sure sounds like you have a swivel bracket of some type. Have you tried removing the knob (carefully) and see what it is holding? I've been thinking about adding a swivel bracket to change the angle when viewing from the sofa.

How about a picture of the knob?
