Here's how we transformed a closet into a pantry in our 2551. I'm pretty pleased with it.

I love this idea! Will have to look into doing the same.

Barb,
Good adaptation of the closet.
If an owner is having a PC built, the factory will adapt that closet with sliding shelves upon request. When we had our 2551 built, we had them put in the sliding shelves, I then bought plastic trays at the Dollar Store that fit in perfectly. We used that as our pantry and it worked out very well.

gradygal benefitted from getting a second chance. I think everyone here can say.... "I wished I asked the factory to do this for me". Hopefully it's a short list with easy remedies.
Every time I finish the last on my list, you good people with your great ideas has me starting a new list. :) Our 2350 has a similar closet just to the right of the microwave. I wonder if my wife would prefer that to be her pantry instead of the over-the-dinette cabinets. I will have to mention this one to her. I did add a fixed shelf in our shirt closet.

The pantry looks great but I'm wondering WHERE do you put your clothes?

We also requested the adjustable shelves and they slide a smidge but don't slide out due to the frame on the closet door. Judi, do your shelves actually slide out?

We use the large closet in the bathroom and all the cupboards over both beds. Plenty of space.

Okay. That explains it. We have a 2350 so I need that closet space.

Holly,
George reminded me that the pantry only slid out a little, as yours does. I apologize for the confusion. Our 2551 was two years ago.
It worked out well, though.
