O.K. we have 2,537 miles on our 2350 Sprinter (2013) and I am just getting around to setting the clock and radio stations .... no need to rush roflol but here is the thing, since we have owned this unit we have this series of beep beep beep, beep beep beep when you shut the engine off. We DID NOT have that with our 2012 - 2350 sprinter and we have no idea what it is. Thought it might be leaving the keys in ... nope ... nothing lights up indicating anything ..... anyone else have that beeping after shutting the engine off ?
Can not find anything in the manual explaining a thing ... we are stumped.
:help
Thanks,
Carol

It sounds to me that someting is left on. My thought is may be part of the heat and a/c system in the sprinter. I have no definite answer.

Couple of questions.
How many times does it beep?
Will it beep if you turn the ignition on and then off withour starting the engine?
Do you have an after market radio with a removable frontface?

Just throwing this out there.
Does this happen only when you stay inside, turning off the engine, then get up and walk back inside the RV without opening the driver and/or passenger doors? It could be sensors in the seats for air bag deployment, wondering what happened to the driver and passenger. They left their seats without leaving the vehicle.
I would call Mercedes customer service.
It could even be the timed aftermarket running board lights. Maybe the beeping stops after the running board lights turn off.
Two of a hundred possibilities.

Have you tried calling the factory yet? Kermit might know what it is or how to find out what it is.

I was also about to suggest the factory. My 2004 Prius had THREE PAGES of translations for the beeping, blinking and glowing warnings (they cut back starting in 2005, thank goodness.) The guys at the factory probably moved your vehicle at least 8 times since it got to their lot. I imagine they would have checked out the beep to make sure it wasn't complaining about something they did wrong.

George:
Vince is going with your answer ... having no definite answer :lol
Answer to all questions .... it is a series of three funny beepy noises and then it stops ... it only happens when you turn the engine off, it doesn't matter if you are sitting in the seat, standing .. makes do difference, it only beeps when you shut the engine off and no other time. If you turn the key on but do not start it, it does not make the noise. There is nothing lit up to indicate that anything is wrong or left on .... very puzzling.
We had the exact everything in this unit that we had in our 2012 accept for the beeping roflol. I looked in the manual and it has NOTHING about anything beeping or warning with a beep.
Guess we could call Kermit, but going straight to dealership might be the best as you recommended Ron, and hopefully we would not have to bring it in and they could possible be able to answer the question over the phone ... it would not be a part of the conversion so they should be able to help us ... I HOPE !

Does you unit have a Sony/tomtom radio in it. I had mine changed to one from the OEM radio and the Radio beeps three times during power down.

I have a 2012 2350 and mine does it as well. It just seems like a small tune from Germany and doesn't seem to relate to anything important in the vehicle. It does seem to be related to the chassis and not anything else.

Carol,
Do you have the sound 5 radio system in the Sprinter that is supplied by Mercedes? If you do here is a possible reason for it and there seems to be away to change the beeps to 0. Here is a link I found on line that might help.
http://www.thesprinter.ca/en/owners/manuals
If you check out page 14 in the sound 5 system manual you might try this and see if it eleminates the beeps. It could be that your radio is powering off.
Or if you check the owners manual in this same link there are many warning sounds that the Sprinter has.
Just a guess on my part but now you got me curious!

Sue: No we do not have this type of radio. This one is even different from our last 2350's radio.
I can't tell where the sound is coming from, and no lights no anything indicating where it is coming from ... we are stumped too !!!!
