Up the mountains of British Columbia on the way to Alaska.

Coming off the Alaska Ferry.

Why we like the Dinette option.

We have a PC2100 are seriously researching Alaska for 2014. Want to do the ferry at least one way. Would appreciate any information you can provide.

I have been stuck here at work for 26 straight days so far, 80+ hours a week.  Now I got the money but don't have the time.  It's one or the other.   :'(
Your trip is soooooo envy'd.  I am very happy for you.  I would love to do a "season" vacation but the best I can get is 3 weeks.  With over 10 years til retirement, I think Christ's return will come before I can do something like that.

BTW:  We love our no-slide dinette too.  Wouldn't buy a PC without one that way.

For the Alaska ferry trip, which btw. we also did only one way, you can google Alaska inside passage ferry. Book well in advance! It sells out quickly. We stopped over on several islands over night and camped out to visit the sites. Than took the next pre arranged boat. Since there are no roads in southern Alaska there is only the Ferry which we entered from British Columbia. For the way back we drove the famous Alaska Highway build in WWII in 2 summers! It's now all asphalted and in good repair.
Also to see the midnight sun from Fairbanks instead of driving the gravel road to the polar circle we just went up the mountain outside Fairbanks and presto: perfect midnight sun.
