Great!  Anytime I revamp the website, sliding existing parts (like the forum) into place and bringing the whole new bit live always makes for some fun permissions/server issues.  Looks like this one was pretty seamless!   (cheer)

Aimee,
The new PC website is outstanding.  What a fantastic job you did.

Thanks so much!  The pricing will be working later on this evening, and the inventory as well.  There are some easter eggs that currently work (refreshing the page or visiting the site after having been gone for more than 10 minutes will get you a different stylesheet/color set) and some that don't work until tonight or tomorrow (photos in the two photo boxes selected from a random group upon page load, or once they have been clicked).  Some of the things are just quicker/easier to tweak once in place.    :)(:

Aimee,
Very funky--I have a completely white background. I thought it might be me, so I restarted the computer but no change. The thumbnails have x in them.

What might be happening/

On which page do you have the white background and thumbnails with an x in them? I may not have ported over some of the 2nd or 3rd tier pages just quite yet.

What do you get when you go here?:

Aimee,
It's on the main Forum page and all the sub forums. It might be my computer. George has no problems on the laptop.

oh.  hmmm...that is bizarre.  I didn't change any code in the forum.  I just moved it entirely to where the new files were.  I'll investigate a little bit when I get a chance.  Right now some of the model year albums are being reuploaded, because I didn't keep them.  woops!

Yesterday I too had the strange white background.  Today it all looks normal again with exception to pictures and some buttons which now are replaced with those little white boxes with the red "X" inside.  There are lots of white boxes with red X's all over these forum pages.

I did notice PC's main page looked brand new so I figured Aimee was doing a system update and this morning it is not quite done.

Aimee, I emailed you a screen capture of it.  Feel free to use me as your tester.

Thanks!  Gradygal, can you right-click one of the little x'd boxes and copy the address of the image that isn't displaying.  If I see the address your browser is calling, maybe I can find a permissions issue.

Also, what browser do you use?

Thanks!

Maybe it is just me, but when you go to the inventory site for models for sale and click on them ...  nothing happens ... you can't view the coach or anything else.

I love to go on from time to time and just look  :)

Aimee,
my only problem with the entire website is the Forum. Everything else displays properly. I use Internet Explorer.

Thanks, Judi!  Can you tell me how things look now? Whatever was throwing off Ron's is better.  My gut is that it was a DNS cache issue (harder to flush than the browser cache) and that once the "time to live" on the dns cache has passed, it will right itself.  Fingers crossed!

Here at work, I now see that removing all the whte boxes with red X's is something I control.  As Aimee talked about cache, I believe that is the answer.

I ran a free computer program called CCleaner and that resolved the problem by cleaning out the cache and all that.  We use the free version of CCleaner at work.  Irene and I use it on our home PCs too.  It is very safe, reliable, and trust worthy.  I also clean out old registries.

If you are not comfortable download free CCleaner, then you'll have to go into tools/internet options and in there clean out the cache.  Don't ask me which buttons to select there.

CCleaner cleans it all out automatically and also a lot of other garbage elsewhere on your computer like temporary internet files and such.  If you have never cleaned your computer of all that kind of stuff, you will see lots more memory available and your computer should run noticably faster.

If you want to load the basic free version CCleaner, go to this website.
http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download (http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download)
Then select the version on the lefthand side that says "X No Support"
I download from Piriform.com, the lower of the two choices, but either works fine.
Be sure to read through the subsequent forms as you will want to be notified of available updates and take advantage of them.

Okay, something still is not right.

After all this cleanup, when I go into the For Sale section, the pictures are the white box with red X and I can't get rid of them.

I just ran CCleaner again.  Some things are fixed.  Not everything though.

Some pictures here still have some red X's.

The X's are controlled in PC testimonials.

The X's are controlled in PC testimonials.

That's my fault.  I renamed the testimonials directory.  Let me see if I can do a quick custom 404 to direct everything from the old testimonials directory to the same file in the new 2013/adventure directory.  If not, we'll just change the address on the images.

Thanks!
