This has probably been mentioned, but here goes: Can I attach the ipod to the "thing" in the upper right
cabinet....or to the front of the dvd/tuner .... and listen while driving? The Spriter's radio does not have
a port for this. ? If this is possible, or someone has done this, I would appreciate (simple-haha) directions. Thanks!

My son has mentioned that there is an ipod dock in the cabinet. As he was in process of loading songs for Linda, after my unenthused 'huh?' he did one of those whatever looks & put the songs onto a thumbdrive. The dock is supposedly in place. Don't know an ipod from a peapod though.
If you use the dock, change input on the speaker system.

You stick the ipod into the docking station. Turn on the tuner and hit the function button until the word ipod appears. Make sure the inverter is on. Works great.

You plug the I-thingy into the other thingy, then plug that thingy into the back of the bigger thingy. Then turn on the main thingy and Wholla!
It was meant to be funny.

Thank you all so much...will try it! I am a "late-bloomer" to the iPod thingy stuff.

You mentioned that you would be driving so you will need 110 volts to turn receiver on.
We bought a device at radio shark that hooks into the iPhone an cigarette lighter it converts the ipad to an FM receiver that play through the truck radio while charging you phone. This seems like a simple solution.

We did something a little more pricey that gave us the added benefit of an ipod port on the radiio. We changed our radio out for an after market one that had a USB port and an IPOD port. Didn't do this for that reason since our 2012 had a port for the IPOD but what I really wanted was a radio with a remote control. Now I can sit back and change stations while the DH is driving. Radio is also HD. Works really nice.

Barry-Sue,
I'm interested in changing my radio so the I can have Sirius/XM as well as a remote. Where did you get yours?

We ordered our radio from www.crutchfield.com. We looked around at many places locally and found the same radio here for a better price and free shipping. Many of them also include the installation gear for free. On our 2008 we installed it ourselves but had it installed in the 2012. Crutchfield also has very good customer support when you call them. We contacted them to make sure the radio we were getting was going to be a good match for the E450.
