I have had an unusual problem that is odd. I was working behind my shop in the garden last summer and during a break I could hear a chattering noise coming from inside the shop. I went to check on it and it stopped before I got there. While standing inside the shop looking for the source of the noise it started again! It was coming from my PC! Who knows for how long it had been doing this. I went inside it to discover the switch on the genset was the culprit. I stopped the noise by going through the motion of flipping the switch as if i were shutting off the generator even though it was not running. I kept my ears open for the rest of the day and nothing. Three days later my wife asked what I had running in the shop. I go and check and it is the switch chattering again. I fear it burning up the PC and my shop so I disconnected the battery to the genset. Anyone ever run into this before? I have looked on several sites with no luck so far.

Sounds to me like it might be a bad switch. It is a rocker switch. I'd check it out ASAP.

I had intended to have the switch checked out for sure. I thought it really unusual for it to try and engage itself that way and mre unusual that I could not find it on the bigger rv sites.
