Title: New Cabinet behind driver's seat in our 2910
Post by: gradygal on October 06, 2012, 03:03:17 pm
I  finally finshed the installation of our cabinet between the slide and the driver's seat. It took a while but we are very happy with the outcome. We will use that space for remotes, cameras, binoculars and other miscellaneous stuff.

I relocated the guages, as you can see from the attached pictures. The driver's seat will go back all the way but it will only recline about 50% or so. I never recline in it anyway.

great job and looks very much PC!  (Now maybe I have a new winter wood project?  this is if I am home long enough and not bumming in our PC!)

Did you send in the measurements?  I would bet it won't be long before PC copies that.  Good job.

Hi George,

Did you give any thought to flipping over the top door so that it opens the same way the bottom two doors open? I did that to several doors in our first PC so they opened the way I liked. It was a pretty easy task. Looking at your pictures has me thinking I want to flip that door in our current PC.

Thanks for the compliments.

When we ordered our "hybrid" 2910, we wanted a length of cabinets behind the drivers seat. In the 3100, there is the cabinet behind the passenger seat. Knowing that we could not have that cabinet because of the Euro Chair, we felt that a cabinet that was half of the 3100 cabinet would suit our needs.

When we got to Elkhart in June to pick her up, there was no cabinet. Kermit said that he would get us the cabinet but it would take a couple of days longer. We had to get back home to Florida. He said that he would have the components sent to us - which he did! They arrived a few days before we left in July (not enough time to install).

I am not a wood worker and I didn't have some of the tools needed for the project. I borrowed from the neighbors! It's done and we are happy with the finished product.

And yes, Tom, I plan to change the hinge side of that top cabinet.

Congrats on the new house! That was quick----will you still keep the PC at the same campground?

Bet you are glad you are not in Jersey!!! Sandy does not look good.
