Title: The Rally in Louisville and Our New PC
Post by: RichardP on June 22, 2012, 10:20:57 pm
Well, the Rally cost us a bit more than we initially paid!  My wife BJ and I bought the 3100 that Stuart brougt to Louisville.   :-D  We are excited about getting our first PC.  I have been reading this forum for months now, and I appreciate the input all of you have shared with each other.  I look forward to particiapting more as we start to enjoy the PC.  We will take it home Monday after the Rally is over.  Wish us luck in our first trip. heartshower

Thanks to all of you for the encouraging comments.  We "took delivery" this afternoon and parked it near our other RV friends from Texas.  We will take off Monday morning for home.  So far we have found a couple of things that we will need answers on, but other than that it sure feels good to have the decision made.

Keelhauler, I did not check my e-mail until tonight, so I did not get to follow up on the booth.  Maybe at the next one...

It sure is a good looking motorhome!

RichardP:  Congrats on the purchase of your new 3100!  Please let us all know how you like the coach on and off of the road.  Does your unit have any of the 2013 changes on it?   Thanks, Ron

Is your 3100 the one with the wood flooring and the new color?

We got back to Texas today after a smooth trip.  The 3100 did fine on the road and so far so good on all items on it.

Yes, it is the one with the wood floors and the "Dusk" paint job.  I really don't know what the 2013 changes are, but Stuart convinced me that it was a 2013.  (Actaully, he just told me it was and I accepted it!)  More to come later.

That is the newest full body paint color schematic and it is SUPER SHARP!!! We saw it in the factory when we picked up our 2910 on June 8th. As I said in a previous post, if that had been available when we ordered ours, that would be the color. Instead, we went with the 2011 gray. We liked the darker gray.

The wood flooring really adds to the coach. Put some photos on the Forum when you get a chance so all can see.

Both my wife and I do like the wood floor. The colors are great throughout the rig.  BJ's not too crazy about the twin beds though.  We have been married 50 years as of Feb 1 this year, and she is a snuggler.  The first morning when we woke up she sat up in her bed, looked over at me, and said, "Did you miss me?"   :lol

I am in no hurry, but whenever our carpet and vinyl flooring gets tired, I will be installing a wood or wood laminate floor.  It would have been nice to start with but "flooring" never came to mind.

I hear you about the "snuggling".  We are both snugglers so we are willing to tollerate the rear corner double bed.  Actually it wasn't much of an option for us either way given our 23'-8" long PC has only inches to spare fitting in the garage.

Congratulations!   Know you will enjoy your RV.   Kermit and Company are the best!

Will you be joining us in Kerrville?

Hello Ambassador.  We have considered going to Kerrville.  We are going to Eagle Nest, NM for the month of August, and will get back to Texas about Sept 2.  We have considered "changing clothes" and heading to Kerrville, but we haven't made up our mind yet.  We just sent in the application to join the club today.  We would like to meet others who drive PCs and to learn more.  Hopefully we can make that trip also.
