Title: Where I WIll Be This Fathers Day Weekend
Post by: Ron Dittmer on June 14, 2012, 07:07:13 am
I plan to take our PC to Dad's Fest this weekend in South Barrington, IL where hundreds of people bring their wheeled toys to display at our church for 20,000 people to inspect.  Time to bring out all those 2009 brochures again to promote the Phoenix Cruiser.  I still have hundreds of them.

If anyone wants to join me with their PC, just let me know.  I won't be able to spend much time with you, as I will be volunteering while displaying.  If you plan to display, just so you know....The first year our PC got far too much traffic inside.  The next year I roped it off so people could take that first step inside on the lower step, look from there and then move on.  I hung a sign on the rope saying they can look but not enter.  That worked out perfectly.  I have not been back with our PC since 2009 so it will be good to make another showing.  This year I plan to bring my step stool for people to peak in through the bedroom window with the screen open as well.  Maybe open the window using those red emergency handles, if I can hold the glass up safely.

It's a lot of fun, and I get a thousand questions.  Most popular are...accomodations and fuel economy.  Handing them a brochure really helps.

Ron, I think you may be beyond being a booster for Phoenix Cruisers.  We should coin a new term to describe you - my suggestion is Phoenextrovert.

Reporting as to what happened at the event tonight.

It had been 3 years since I shown our 2350 at this event.  This evening I was very surprised how many people found the 2350 to be a perfect floorplan.  Most considered the size ideal.  Some felt the rear corner bed was too small, and given their size I could not dispute it.  I did emphasize that PC-USA offered numerous lengths & floorplans and suggested they check out the latest on-line.

Also the question of price and gas mileage came up a alot so the Sprinter was discussed often.  Again the website was suggested.

Over 50 brochures were taken, many to have the website handy at home.  It was a lot of fun to share the PC with so many of the curious, maybe one serious.  It would be great if one sale came from this.

Unfortunately I cannot take the rig tomorrow which will have twice the audience.
